Keep The Fair Free |
January 1, 2011 To Whom it may Concern: It is time to finalize plans for the 2011 Oasis Stampede and Country Fair and thank you for your past support. Building on our 2010 success, our group of faithful volunteers has determined that more entertainment will attract more families to our free event . Once again we will be seeking support from the City of Fallon and Churchill County but those funds will not be available until July. We need to collect enough capital to tie up bands and order the awards for the exhibits that are the favorites among the Fair attendees. This is where your organization can help fill a crucial gap in our planning efforts. Last year, we showcased a Country Fair, Antique Tractor Show, Draft Horse Show, Livestock Show, Ranch Hand Rodeo, a Kids Zone and 4-H Display and Livestock Show to prepare local youth for the Nevada State Fair. Over 11,000 visitors enjoyed two and half days of fun, complete with displays focusing on photography, antique engine display, dairy animals, antique cars, quilts and numerous food exhibits. Local and regional bands provide excellent family entertainment. Next year the Oasis Stampede and Country Fair will be held August 5, 6 7, at the Churchill County Fair Grounds for an affordable fun-filled weekend. With the goal of affordable family fun in mind, we are looking for sponsors to help keep this event free and full of great exhibits, shows and entertainment. 2011 Oasis Stampede and County Fair We understand there are many opportunities to consider when it comes to community support; however, we hope that you choose the Oasis Stampede and Country Fair.
